Sri Lanka seamer Nuwan Kulasekara has decided to call time on his international career, finishing as the third highest wicket-taker among his country's pace bowlers after Chaminda Vaas and Lasith Malinga.
Kulasekara had been away from competitive cricket since last year and with no prospects of breaking into the national side, he has brought down the curtains on his career. He was known for his brilliance with the new ball, as his in-dippers often wreaked havoc against opposing teams.
The 37-year-old had 199 scalps in 184 ODIs while he took another 66 wickets in 58 T20 matches in a career spanning over 15 years. Kulasekara was ranked as the no.1 bowler in the ICC rankings for several and his sole five-wicket haul during his career came against Australia in Brisbane in 2013.
