After a heart-breaking defeat in the semi-final of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament, the focus of Indian team is on the tour of West Indies. For this cricketing action, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) already announced all the three squads.
However, former captain Sourav Ganguly isn’t really amused as he was surprised to see rising batting sensation Shubman Gill and Test veteran Ajinkya Rahane not making it to the 50-over team of India. The 47-year old believes that the Indian selection committee should rely on a same pool of players for all the three formats of the game as this will allow the unit to achieve the needed rhythm and confidence.
The cricketer turned commentator opined that all the great cricket teams had consistency in their selection process and India will have to do the same to become one. It is important to note that Ganguly is not the only one to express his concerns as many cricket pundits came forward to share their two cents which particularly highlighted the name of the aforementioned two batters.
