Several Pakistani players have been drafted in the inaugural edition of the Euro T20 Slam and the seventh season of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). The proliferation of such T20 leagues around the globe have, however, come at the cost of cricketers prioritizing them over domestic competitions.
In a bid to preserve the importance of domestic tournaments, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is mulling over limiting the amount of time Pakistani cricketers are participating in Euro T20 Slam and CPL. PCB is reportedly desiring the presence of national players back at home by the middle of September so that they can play domestic cricket.
“The PCB is of the view that players should be given 10 to 15 days NOCs for these two T20 tournaments. There's a likelihood that NOCs to Pakistani players by PCB would be till the 10th or maximum 12th of September so that players can return home in time,” a source claimed.
