Zimbabwe might lose ICC membership for noncompliance

Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) was recently suspended by the International Cricket Council (ICC) after an intervention from the government resulted in the sacking of the board management i.e., a clear violation of the ICC constitution.

However, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has now given a lifeline to the suspended board by giving it a deadline to restore the status of the cricket board. The Zimbabwean government must restore the board officials by October 8th in order to get back to playing cricket.

However, if the government fails to take the specified steps by the end of deadline, then the ICC might even consider the termination of membership of Zimbabwe which is currently on suspension.
