Young wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant has become the talk of the town in Indian cricketing circles ever since he has come through the ranks of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The youngster is said to be the successor of MS Dhoni in the national side as he shown potential to become a world class wicket-keeper batsman. Pant says that he is not thinking about the shoes he is about to fill as it might distract him from the task at hand.
“I know those are big shoes to fill, but if I start thinking about it there will be a problem. Right now, I am not thinking about what people say. I am just focusing on what I have to do. I just want to do well for my country. That’s the only thing I am focusing on. I take the challenge positively. Now I have to see what I can learn, and what I can do to improve,” he said.
