Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh is participating in his first global T20 tournament other than the Indian Premier League (IPL) after obtaining No Objections Certificate (NOC) from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) post retirement.
The veteran cricketer is currently participating in the Global T20 League as the captain of Toronto Nationals. In his first game in Canada, Yuvraj had a rather bizarre outing with the bat on his debut as he walked off even after being not out.
Playing a very uncharacteristic innings, Yuvraj only managed to score 14 runs off 27 balls which ended with a wrong decision. Yuvraj went out of the crease to smash the ball out of the ground, but he only managed to edge the ball into the gloves of the keeper who dropped the ball onto the stumps.
The left-hander thought that he was out of the crease and so did the leg umpire who gave him out, however, replay showed that Yuvraj was still in the crease when the ball ricocheted onto the stumps. Yuvraj had to end his innings there as he had already reached the dressing room when replays showed it to be different.
