Pakistan’s veteran all-rounder, Mohammad Hafeez set to ply his trade for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots for the upcoming edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). He will replace South Africa batsman Rassie van der Dussen, who will be unavailable due to international commitments.
“I really enjoyed my time with the Patriots in 2017 and was very pleased to be asked to join them for the 2019 season. The CPL is a competition which has got better every single year and it is great to be involved again after a season off. The Patriots have a really strong squad this year and I am really looking forward to joining up with the rest of the boys," Hafeez said on his signing.
‘The Professor’ had scored 120 runs and had scalped seven wickets in the 2017 season of the league. The 38-year-old has been a consistent performer for the Pakistan team across all the formats of the game.
Overall, Hafeez has scored 412 runs in 27 CPL matches at an average of 19.61 and a strike rate of 105.37 and has taken 17 wickets at 28.41 while conceding 5.78 runs per over.
