The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is trying its best to organize all the games of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Pakistan next year since matches in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are not as profitable as they are in the home country.
The PCB vowed to organize the whole PSL 5 in Pakistan last year after 9 games of the tournament were played in Lahore and Karachi. The PCB is also renovating a couple of other stadiums in order to get them ready for this year’s tournament.
Apart from Karachi and Lahore, the historic Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium is another venue which could host matches in the next season as it has been recently renovated and could also accommodate almost 28000 people.
Moreover, the Multan Cricket Stadium is another venue being considered by the PCB as the home ground of Multan Sultans not only has world-class facilities but also has a capacity of 35000. The Niaz Stadium in Hyderabad has hosted some historic matches in Pakistan cricket history and it might be another option for the PCB to consider, however, its capacity needs to be increased if it has to host any matches since it only has space for 10000 people.
