Tamim Iqbal wants players to show responsibility

The Bangladesh cricket team has lost the 3-match ODI series against Sri Lanka after losing the first 2 games quite convincingly. Tamim Iqbal has been leading the side in the series in the absence of Mashrafe Mortaza who is recovering from an injury.

The stand-in captain has urged the players to take responsibility in order to get the desired results as players have bee getting starts with the bat, but no one has managed to score a big hundred after that.

“I think we need to just regroup and the main thing is if you want to do something in this series, people have to take responsibilities. People who get starts, who will get 50-60 or 70s will have to take the responsibility to make it big,” he said.

Moreover, he also lamented the lack of intent from the batting lineup which remained under pressure in both the games in Sri Lanka.
