The final of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 started a new debate regarding a couple of controversial playing rules which affected the outcome of the most important game in limited overs cricket in last 4 years.

The match was eventually decided on the number of boundaries hit by each team during the game as the super over also failed to yield a result, ending in a tie. Fans from all around the world criticized the ICC for not having fair rules to decide the outcome of such a high voltage game.

The ICC is all set to discuss the boundary count rule in the next meeting which is scheduled to be held next week. Former Indian spinner and head coach, Anil Kumble would head the cricket committee which would decide if the rule should be continued with or not.
