The second edition of Global T20 Canada is in full flow as different T20 stars are swelling the charm of the tournament with their sparkling performances. New Zealand’s leg-spinner Ish Sodhi has further contributed to this by snaring a memorable five-wicket haul in his team’s 10-wicket victory over Montreal Tigers.
In the 4th game of the Canadian domestic championship, Brampton Wolves – a new edition in the second season of the 20-over event – delivered a thumping performance to start their campaign on a winning note. Winning the toss, Tigers decided to bat first only to get folded for a paltry total of 101 runs. The chief destroyer proved to be Ish Sodhi who claimed wickets of Bhupinder Singh, Anton Devcich, George Bailey, Matthew Cross and Sean Abbott.
The epic spell of bowling saw the 26-year old reducing Montreal from 56-2 to 77-7, thus grabbing the player of the match award. Sodhi’s captain and his country mate Colin Munro was delighted to see his spin gun firing as he is confident about his team continuing a strong run in Canada’s T20 frenzy.
