Robin Singh unhappy with Ravi Shastri’s coaching

India’s coaching role is to be finalized in next few days and one of the applicants and ex all-rounder Robin Singh has moved forward to share his views on former coach Ravi Shastri. Australia’s Tom Moody, Sri Lanka’s Mahela Jayawardene and New Zealand’s Mike Hesson are other notable candidates to have reportedly applied for India’s coaching role.

After his glorious coaching stints, the 55-year old is hopeful to work with senior team of India. Robin Singh who has as many as 10 championship titles with various teams over last 15 years indirectly criticized Ravi Shastri for India’s recent struggles in the knock-out games as he believes that its time to move forward.

“Under the current coach, India has lost in the semi-finals of two successive ODI World Cups, and in the last four stage of the World T20 championship. You need to transport yourself mentally into the game and enter players’ mind. You can do this only if you understand the game technically,” the Trinidad born added while highlighting the mantra of a coach’s success.
