Australian great, Steve Waugh has decided not to call favourites for the upcoming Ashes series as he believes the series will be closely fought between the arch-rivals. Australia will be seeking their first away win in the Ashes for 18 years.
"Depth in the squad will be important but I honestly think if I was a betting man I wouldn´t back either side because I don´t know who´s going to win. It´s going to be that even. I think it´s going to be a fantastic series," Waugh said.
England is going into the series buoyed by the World Cup triumph – they also beat 2015 champions Australia in the semi-final -- but Waugh believes that win would have no impact on the Ashes.
