Peter Siddle receives an unlikely help from Sir Alastair Cook

Peter Siddle has gained some valuable insights from Essex teammate Sir Alastair Cook ahead of the Ashes series. Both players have played for Essex together in the County. Sir Alastair Cook helped Siddle with little tricks during his journey with Essex.

Peter Siddle admitted that Cook is a great bloke and his experience with James Anderson and Stuart Broad has helped him a lot in learning the strategical tricks to counter with the batsmen in the Test arena.

Alastair Cook was a great leader of England's Test side and under his leadership, Broad and Anderson were too lethal to deal with. He always guided both spearheads of the English side and now he has lent Peter Siddle with some valuable advice ahead of the Ashes.

Peter Siddle has been named in Australia's 17-man Test squad. He has been in and out of the Australian side but this is probably his last chance to prove something for the men in yellow.
