While Pakistan’s star all-rounder Shahid Afridi may have retired from international cricket long ago, he continues to exhibit blistering performances in various T20 leagues around the globe.
He rolled back the years to his vintage best as he blasted a magnificent half-century in Brampton Wolves’ 27-run victory over Edmonton Royals in the Global T20 Canada.
The explosive batsman struck 81 runs off 40 deliveries, clearing the boundary fence a total of fifteen times including 10 fours and 5 sixes. His belligerent knock helped Brampton reach a mammoth total of 207-5.
Afridi found able support from West Indies’ Lendl Simmons, who also hit 59 off 34 balls. Simmons contributed with 5 fours and 5 maximums in his glitzy innings.
