The 7th game of the second season of Global T20 Canada proved to be a run feast where over 400 runs were scored in a contest full of thrill. Winning the toss, Winnipeg Hawks decided to bowl first, which looked a wrong move at the half-way mark as Toronto’s batters piled up a formidable total of 216.
However, what followed baffled everyone as Australian T20 specialist Chris Lynn unleashed an iconic batting performance which saw him pummeling bowlers to score his second consecutive half-century of the tournament. In an innings which consisted of 2 fours and 10 sixes, the Queensland born produced 89 runs while eating up only 48 deliveries.
Despite Shaiman Anwar and Sunny Sohal registering valuable batting contributions, the Queensland born stole the thunder of the day to lead Winnipeg to a memorable victory. Without any surprise, Lynn flew away with the player of the match award. The right-handed batting star was elated to contribute valiantly as he expressed his wish to continue his sparkling form.
