The ICC World Test Championship comes across as an extremely exciting prospect for a form which is considered as the truest format of the game. While the red-ball games already carry a lot of significance, but the induction of an initiative like this definitely adds a lot of spice.
Comprising of 9 teams playing 72 Test matches across two years, the championship promises to become a thrilling affair. This notion was recently endorsed by Indian captain Virat Kohli who is looking forward to become a part of this competition.
Reflecting on World Test Championship, the 30-year old added that he expects intense competition as teams will give their all to make it to the final of the event which will be played at Lord’s. Moreover, he is confident about his team doing well across the two-year period to reach the last stage of the tournament.
“Every session, every game will be more intense. There will be more on the line, it will be challenging. I am sure all the teams are going to enjoy the journey,” said by Indian run machine as he expressed his views on WTC.
