Young teenage pace sensation Nasim Shah has made shockwaves in the cricket world for his lightning speeds and aggressive fast bowling. One of the upcoming pacers highly rated in Pakistan’s domestic circuit, Nasim recently performed brilliantly in his U-19 side’s whitewash over South Africa U-19 where he picked 12 wickets in five one-day games.
Talking about his inspiration for taking up pace bowling as a profession and maintaining attacking lines and lengths, Nasim regarded former New Zealand speedster Shane Bond as his idol. Nasim also tries to emulate Bond’s bowling action and is able to find great success using that strategy.
“Shane Bond is my ideal bowler. People say that I have a similar bowling action like him, which I take as a compliment. My objective is to play for Pakistan and serve my country in all three formats of the game,” the 16-year-old has claimed.
