There is a wind of change in Pakistan’s management after the conclusion of the ICC World Cup 2019. Former players are being very critical of Pakistan’s WC performance and they are largely putting blame on the poor planning of the Pakistan coaching staff.
One of the names proposed to be axed in the aftermath of the mega-event is that of bowling coach, Azhar Mahmood. Pakistan off-spinner, Saeed Ajmal while taking full advantage of the uncertainty, has made himself available for the Pakistan bowling coach position.
“I want to serve Pakistan cricket by working as the team’s bowling coach. I have passed PCB and England’s Level Two coaching course, while I will take part in the Level Three course in April next year. Also, I’m coaching more than 200 young cricketers in my academy,” Ajmal said while speaking to a local news channel.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has already mentioned that they would welcome the idea of appointing local former cricketers who can add value to the team and improve their performances.
