Pakistani all-rounder Yasir Arafat has been a feature of England’s domestic cricket for a long time. The 37-year-old is often afforded the status of being a T20 great for his extraordinary achievements and splendid record in the shortest format.
A high utility player with both bat and ball, Arafat is now looking positive for another fruitful season with Surrey. He recently tweeted his happiness at seeing South African spin maestro Imran Tahir join the Surrey squad and hoped this would translate into a successful tournament for the club.
Tahir recently bowed out of one-day internationals following South Africa’s lackadaisical showing in the World Cup, though he has reaffirmed his commitment to continue playing T20Is till next year’s T20 World Cup.
