Russel Arnold wants Sri Lanka to lock horns with India

After registering a decent campaign in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament, Sri Lanka continued their impressive run as the Islanders took down Bangladesh in a three-game ODI series. There were expectations about this series being an extremely competitive affair. However, Sri Lanka proved to be a superior side by completing a clean sweep.

The sequence of victories obviously went down really well with all the fans including former Sri Lankan all-rounder Russel Arnold who took to Twitter to share his delight. The 45-year old moved to congratulate Sri Lanka for a stunning show against Bangladesh as he advised the unit to stay focused and build on this to restore the pride of Sri Lankan Cricket.

Moreover, the cricketer turned commentator believes that Sri Lanka is in a good frame of mind and with this winning momentum, they should be playing India next. To his dismay, that cannot happen as the blue team is lined up to battle a top class New Zealand side in the next few days.
