The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is all set to overhaul the domestic structure of cricket in the country under the supervision of newly appointed Managing Director Wasim Khan as it is currently waiting for the approval of Prime Minister of Pakistan, the patron in chief of the board, Imran Khan.
Wasim recently indulged in a detailed interview with an experts’ panel including former cricketers Rashid Latif and Shoaib Akhtar in which he discussed his vision to transform PCB into one of the most credible cricket boards in the world.
After listening to the new MD, Akhtar was highly impressed with his commitment to Pakistan cricket and he said that the PCB needs more people like Wasim Khan who are not afraid to take bold steps whenever needed. He also urged the public and media to stand behind Wasim as it would not be easy to transform the system.
A couple of media personnel and former cricketers including Zaheer Abbas had been taking shots at the PCB for appointing a person from England.
