Munro’s 50 keeps Wolves unscathed record alive

Despite being a new entrant to the Global T20 Canada, Brampton Wolves are giving everyone a run for their money. After thumping Montreal Tigers and Edmonton Royals, it was the turn of Winnipeg Hawks to receive a similar treatment. With victories in all their three games, Wolves are currently capturing the top position in the points table.

Following power displays of other T20 stars, skipper of Wolves Colin Munro also decided to flex his muscles to gun down an easy run chase. In the 10th game of the Canadian T20 frenzy, Wolves bowled first after winning the toss – a decision which saw them restricting Hawks to a harmless total of 116.

In return, the start of Brampton Wolves wasn’t ideal as they lost two quick wickets for 29 runs. However, the 32-year old had no plans to see his team spill a golden opportunity to beat Hawks. Right from the word go, Munro looked on a mission as he smashed a stunning half-century to ace the chase. The Durban born produced 3 fours and 4 sixes to recorded an unbeaten knock of 53 runs which saw him claiming the player of the match award.
