With the commencement of ICC World Test Championship, the red-ball series scheduled later this month between West Indies and India received some extra spice. The men in blue would definitely start the series as favorites, but it is hard to ignore West Indian prowess as they are known for their gritty displays.
Reflecting on the upcoming two-game Test series against India, West Indian skipper Jason Holder has shown confidence as he expects his side to give India a run for their money. The 27-year old all-rounder recalled the series victory against England at home and urged the unit to take motivation from it. Moreover, Holder added that all his side needs is to play good cricket and results will follow.
“Beating England at home was tremendous for us. We played some excellent cricket in all the three departments of the game. It showed us that once we play well, we can beat the best teams. On home turf, we are looking to make sure that we end up on the winning side against India,” the adroit all-rounder added.
