Former Indian captain MS Dhoni has been receiving a lot of suggestions from fans and media regarding his retirement from the game as it was being speculated that he would leave cricket at the conclusion of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, but he has not announced anything yet.
Former Indian cricketer and current chief selector MSK Prasad has thrown full support behind the experienced cricketer by saying that Dhoni is the best finisher in white ball cricket in India even now.
“I can clearly say this that till today, MS is the best gloveman and finisher in India in the shorter formats. The others are still work in progress. MS was a big strength to this team in the World Cup both as a batsman and keeper, apart from sharing his vast experience with the team and captain while taking on-field decisions,” said Prasad.
The chief selector had previously said that the decision to retire is totally up to Dhoni and a player of his stature knows exactly when to retire so the board would not push him to make any call.
