The Bangladesh cricket team has been whitewashed in the ODI series against Sri Lanka at the latter’s home after having one of the most impressive World Cup campaigns during the last two months.
Opening batsman Soumya Sarkar was really disappointed after the defeat as he lamented the repetition of mistakes by the batting unit as the reason of failures in the series. He also appreciated the home side for staging such a dominant show and winning a bilateral series after almost 4 years.
“Maybe all were too worried. Sometimes results don't come because of too much tension. What happens when we fail is that we think too much and, in the process, fail to take a decision like whether we should play our normal game, or should we abandon it and go into a shell and all those things,” he added.
