Australia have not made an ideal start to the Ashes series in England this year as the hosts have stomped their authority in all departments within the first 2 days of the first Test match in Birmingham.
Former Australian vice-captain David Warner has said that he is quite aware of the kind of pressure the home side would exert on him and his team. He also knows that a couple of people would rub salts in his wounds whenever they would get a chance, both on and off the field.
“It's a different format after the World Cup. You'd think that they would be coming out with lots of energy and try and obviously knock us off here at home. They would try and rub a bit more salt in our wounds and make us go home without winning the World Cup or the Ashes. We know how much pressure they are trying to put us under. Not just with on the field, but off the field as well,” said Warner.
