Indian skipper Virat Kohli is quite easily one of the fittest cricketers in the world. He is truly an inspiration in terms of the high standards of fitness maintained, setting a benchmark for all the budding cricketers. One of the key reasons behind Kohli’s supreme athleticism is the ex-conditioning coach of India Shanker Basu.
The former coach waxed lyrical regarding Kohli’s intense workout sessions and his utmost devotion to fitness. Shedding light on the star batsman’s strict dietary habits, he revealed Kohli rarely has a cheat day, since he believes it will disrupt his momentum to upholding quality fitness.
“His cheat days come once in a blue moon, I have not seen him take one in the last two years. I am telling you that fellow is a freak. There will be months together he would go on and I would force him to take rest,” Basu said.
