Managing Director of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Wasim Khan recently held a meeting with the relevant stakeholders to review the performance of both men’s and women’s teams at different levels. Members of the cricket committee, head coach of men’s team Mickey Arthur, skipper Sarfraz Ahmed, former chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq, women’s chief selector Urooj Mumtaz, and other domestic cricket heads attended the meeting in Lahore.
During his presentation, Mickey Arthur reviewed the performance of the national side during his time with the team and he also put forward a couple of suggestions for the future. He suggested the name of allrounder Shadab Khan as the skipper of the limited overs sides of Pakistan since the performance of Sarfraz Ahmed has gone down due to the pressure of captaincy.
Shadab has been around for a couple of years now, but he might not be preferred by the PCB as he lacks experience in the leadership department.
