English head coach Trevor Bayliss would complete his tenure as the head coach of the national side at the end of ongoing Ashes series as he has decided not to take extension even after guiding England to its first ever World Cup triumph last month.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has received a lot of applications from all around the world as many former cricketers have shown interest in coaching the best limited overs side in the world.
Current Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur has shown interest in taking up the job as his request for contract renewal is yet to be approved by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Moreover, head coach of South African cricket team, Ottis Gibson has also emerged as a strong candidate for England coaching as he is regarded very highly in the cricket world and would be available after September this year.
Former Indian head coach Gary Kirsten is another candidate who could replace Bayliss as he has the 2011 World Cup triumph under his belt as the coach in his resume.
