Allan Donald, former South African player said that he was lucky to work alongside Dale Steyn. “I was very lucky to have had the opportunity to work alongside Dale Steyn for a few years. Simply one of the greats of all time and the best that South Africa have ever produced.”, Allan added.
Steyn represented South Africa in 93 Test matches where he picked up 439 Test scalps at an average of 22.95. He made his Test debut against England at Port Elizabeth back in 2004, 15 years later he played his last Test against Sri Lanka on the same venue where he started his proceedings.
His remarkable career was hit by many injuries, but he stood tall among the best fast bowlers; the cricket world has ever produced.
