After going through a horrible patch in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament, Pakistan’s all-rounder Shoaib Malik is coming good in the ongoing season of Global T20 Canada. The Pakistani veteran is showing his experience to aid Vancouver Knights strengthen their position on the points table.
In the 14th game of the running edition of Canadian domestic T20 championship, Vancouver Knights recorded a strong performance to handle Brampton Wolves their first defeat of the tournament. Wolves batted first to post a paltry total of 138 which was later chased with ease. While Knights lost two quick wickets, but Shoaib Malik and Chadwick Walton played brilliantly to seal the chase.
Scoring 41 runs consuming only 28 balls, the 37-year-old recorded another unbeaten batting performance. Before this, Malik scored not out 34 of 17 balls against Edmonton Royals and unbeaten 28 of 25 balls against Winnipeg Hawks. All this means that the Sialkot born is yet to get dismissed in the ongoing 20-over event. It remains to be seen how Malik carries his good form in the forthcoming fixtures of the competition.
