England’s speedster Jofra Archer makes his Ashes case strong as he ripped through Gloucestershire with a 6-wicket haul. Playing for Sussex, Archer was firing boults at their batsmen. His pace and fitness were sparking during the match.
James Anderson has been ruled out of the 2nd Test against Australia courtesy a calf injury. Therefore, England will need someone to replace him in an all-important encounter at Lords. Jofra had a wonderful World Cup journey and now he is all set for mission Ashes.
His performance for Sussex has made his case strong and England selectors will be aiming for him to join the squad as England is already one down in the series. England will take on Australia in the 2nd Test match at Lords on 14th August 2019.
