Recording a cherished career after serving Bangladesh cricket for approximately 2 decades, it is almost time for paceman Mashrafe Mortaza to hang his boots. The preparations have already started in this regard as Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is aiming to handle their veteran a farewell at home.
The plan is to hold a tri-nation T20I series including Zimbabwe and Afghanistan which is expected to take place next month. However, BCB is anxiously waiting for a green signal from Zimbabwe’s Cricket Board to confirm their participation. Bangladesh’s team will have hectic days in future and that is why the governing body of Bangladesh’s cricket wants to give a farewell to the 35-year old cricketer as soon as possible.
Mashrafe was set to participate in the series against Sri Lanka, but the last minute injury forced him to sit out of the three-game ODI series. BCB’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nizamuddin Chowdhury interacted with media where he applauded Mashrafe’s services towards Bangladesh and opened up about their plans to say goodbye to their legend.
