In accordance with the upcoming ACC U-19 Asia Cup scheduled to be held next month in Sri Lanka, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have announced a squad of 15 players who will take part in the competition. The tournament will kick-off on September 5 and will last 9 days in total.

Pakistan enter the Asia Cup at the back of a handful of productive outings giving them the requisite confidence to maintain a fantastic run in the tournament. They recently completed a comprehensive 7-0 win over South Africa away from home, testifying the caliber of the young cricketers.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Rohail Nazir has been retained as the skipper of the junior side while star batsman Haider Ali will serve as his deputy. Taking into account the conducive conditions for spin, Pakistan have opted to leave out fast bowler Shiraz Khan to rope in Abu Huraira, a right-arm off-spinner.
