Legendary South African fast bowler Dale Steyn recently announced his retirement from Test cricket as he has committed himself to limited-overs cricket in order to prolong his career which has been continuously interrupted by injuries in recent years.
Pakistani all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez never liked batting against Steyn as he became his bunny in all the formats in the last decade or so as the Proteas speedster dismissed him 15 times at the international level which is the most by any bowler against a specific batsman.
On Steyn’s retirement, one journalist tried to troll the former Pakistan captain as he broke the news to him on Twitter. His tweet was an indirect attempt to tease Hafeez based on his record against the pacer.
However, Hafeez did not have any of it as he immediately shut him down with a befitting response as he said that he is not sure about the intent behind the journalist’s tweet, but he did say that he is a ‘pure journalist’ as he did not let the opportunity to tease a player go.
