Former Pakistan player, Iqbal Qasim believes captain Sarfaraz Ahmed should shift his focus towards limited-overs cricket and give up the Test captaincy. He reckoned leading Pakistan in all three formats is a big burden and is perhaps contributing to Sarfaraz’s bad performance.

“I think Sarfaraz should step down from Test captaincy and concentrate on limited-overs cricket because the burden of captaincy in all three formats is affecting his performance,” said Qasim.

Responding to a question about who should lead the side in Test cricket, Qasim responded that former Test captain, Misbah-ul-Haq is in a better position to answer this but he advised the PCB Cricket Committee to shortlist a few names and conduct interviews before making taking a decision on the Test skipper.
