Sharjeel should be banned for life: Ramiz Raja

Pakistan’s opening batsman, Sharjeel Khan, who is currently suffering from a 5-year ban courtesy spot-fixing has requested Pakistan Cricket Board to alleviate his punishment and allow him to play cricket. Moreover a lot of news have been circulating in the social media about the comeback of Sharjeel Khan.

Fakhar’s Zaman miserable performance in the ICC World Cup 2019 has furthered drove fans in thinking about Sharjeel’s comeback. In the contrary world, Pakistan’s former batsman, Ramiz Raja has strongly confronted the comeback of Sharjeel Khan.

He said that there should be zero tolerance for such players who sell the reputation of their country. Ramiz also added that this is not the first incident, there has been a trail of such incidents and the players do not learn from the past events. Ramiz Raja requested fans to give more time to Pakistan’s current opening pair (Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman) as they have been performing for Pakistan, not consistently but timely.

Sharjeel Khan was banned during the Pakistan Super League season 2017. He was found guilty of spot-fixing during the PSL matches. As per policy of PSL, there is no room for such acts and Pakistan Cricket Board implemented the ban on the bashing opening batsman.
