Australia might switch keeping job during the 2nd Ashes Test

Australian cricket team is high in confidence after winning the opening Test match of Ashes 2019. Australia outclassed the home team (England) by 251 runs and went 1-0 up in the 5-match series.

Australia is currently playing a warm-up match against Worcestershire. They changed their tactics slightly in the warm-up match as Matthew Wade took the keeping job instead of Tim Paine, Australian Test captain.

Tim Paine had few problems while keeping during the 1st Ashes Test. He had an ordinary Test match behind the stumps. Although he did not miss many chances but still he looked weary.

Matthew Wade, the centurion from the 1st Test is also the back-up keeper in the side. Wade keeping in the warm-up match hints that Australia might change the keeping job in the 2nd Test at the Lords and release the pressure from the captain Tim Paine’s shoulder.
