Pakistan needs Test cricket at home

The cricket fans in Pakistan are eager to see Test cricket coming back to the local stadiums of Pakistan. Last time Pakistan played a Test match at home was in 2009 and who can forget that series? It would be remembered for a very long time for two different reasons.

The attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team and Pakistan’s captain Younis Khan scoring a magnificent triple century against the Islanders.

The fans in Pakistan would also love to see a similar kind of an innings by the current lot of youngsters as none of them have ever played a Test match at home.

There’s no rocket science in this fact that home pitches and crowd provides the local talent to come up with their best possible ability and maximize their talent in front of a supportive crowd.

Test cricket gives birth to new stars and heroes and the current group of players is aware of the situation. According to the reports, the security delegation of Sri Lankan Cricket Board has shown satisfaction over the security arrangements in Karachi & Lahore.

Which means that Pakistan and the cricket fans in Pakistan might as well see a proper return of Test cricket to the country against the same Sri Lankan side.
