The Pakistan cricket team had a disappointing end to a fairly decent performance in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 as a couple of players failed to step up on the big stage, costing Pakistan crucial matches. There are several players who are expected to be sent back to domestic cricket so that they could work on their game and do not take things for granted.
Fast bowler Hasan Ali was the most disappointing in the tournament as he bowled wayward lines and was unable to create an impact with the ball, let alone get wickets. It is expected that the speedster would be sent to the domestic level where he would need to work hard on his craft in order to earn a place in the national side once again.
All-rounder Faheem Ashraf remained a decent player for Pakistan during last year, however, he seems to have lost his rhythm in ODI cricket which was the reason behind his exclusion from the World Cup squad. He is currently playing county cricket in England, but he would soon return home to take part in the domestic season and earn his place back.
Pakistan’s opening batsman Fakhar Zaman has not had a great run in the last couple of months which is why many believe that he needs to be sent back to the domestic level so that he could work on his weaknesses and come back as a better player.
