Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has received a green signal from Zimbabwe to participate in the next month’s tri-nation T20I series. For this reason, authorities have released the schedule of the tournament which is set to get underway from September 13.
In addition to this, governing body of Bangladesh cricket has also confirmed the schedule of a solitary Test match against Afghanistan. The anticipated game will commence on September 5 at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.
For the shortest format series, a total of 6 games will be played with each unit locking horns against other teams twice. After this, the final of the tournament will be played between the top two teams at the iconic Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
It is important to note that BCB arranged this series particularly to bid farewell to paceman Mashrafe Mortaza. The 35-year old cricketer, with a plethora of impressive outings in his 18-year long career, remains to be counted among the most cherished figures of Bangladesh’s history.
