Cricketer-turned-commentator Ramiz Raja has called out former Pakistan batting coach Grant Flower for his criticism of the country’s security situation. Flower had recently claimed in an interview with a cricket publication that the “lack of freedom” was a frustrating aspect of living in Pakistan.

However, Ramiz is deeply disappointed with Flower’s statement and said the former Zimbabwean player had been looked after well by the relevant authorities. Ramiz was not a fan of the trend whereby coaches leave their respective positions and criticize their previous employers.
“I felt really bad when Grant said that security was a concern in Pakistan. I had seen him regularly roaming around the liberty market, visiting various restaurants and jogging outside on the streets. The PCB provided him excellent security as well as five-star accommodation in the National Cricket Academy (NCA) Lahore,” Ramiz said.
