Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday received an anonymous email claiming the Indian cricket team, currently touring West Indies, is in danger of an attack. The PCB acted responsibly in the situation and promptly forwarded the email to the International Cricket Council (ICC).
The said email, which is now being treated as a hoax, made no mention of any terror-based group or other sensitive details that could help identify the unknown aggressors. According to reports, the BCCI has also confirmed the threat to “kill Indian cricketers”.
The PCB declined to comment on the issue upon being approached by certain media publications. Meanwhile, the ICC has not responded to the potentially grave matter.
