The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided against renewing the contracts of the coaching staff after the bizarre performance of the national side in recent years. Former head coach Mickey Arthur and bowling coach Azhar Mahmood have expressed disappointment on not getting an extension as they feel that they had done reasonably well with the Pakistan team.
In a recent interview, Azhar cherished the time he spent with team Pakistan as he wished them luck for the future. He also revealed that he has received a couple of offers for coaching positions in recent times and he is excited to see how things unfold.
“Let's see where I end up next. Now people know I'm available, I have a lot of interest coming my way, so I need to work out which is the best for my future. Even when I was doing the job with Pakistan I got a job offer from Surrey and now people know I am available, there has been more interest,” he added.
