Despite playing less than 130 International games, top-order batsman Babar Azam is reckoned as one of the finest batting talents produced by Pakistani soil. After his debut, the batting prodigy never looked back as he continued to score pile of runs. Particularly in white-ball formats, Babar averages more than 50 while maintaining impressive strike-rates.
Unfortunately, he hasn’t blossomed yet in Test cricket. The Lahore born player had an extremely tough start to this red-ball career, but his recent shows in the longest format of the game have been praiseworthy. However, Babar had no shame in admitting his shortcomings in Test cricket as he revealed his goal about aiming big in the purest form of the game.
Talking to Somerset, the 24-year old revealed that he sits dissatisfied with his Test match performance and his focus lies on proving himself in First Class and Test cricket. Babar said that he will leave no stone unturned to improve his batting in Tests. With Pakistan scheduled to have few red-ball games in near future, it is an ideal time for Babar to register his name strongly in Test match cricket.
