Opening batsman Imam-ul-Haq is always one of the red hot topics of Pakistan cricket. Ever since his debut, the left-hander has faced harsh criticism because of his relation with Inzamam-ul-Haq who served as the chief selector of Pakistan. Imam’s runs were never enough to silence the critics as his sluggish strike-rate also gave birth to many debates.
Amid all this, the skillful batsman has received a valuable support from none other than Grant Flower who was recently removed as the batting coach of green team. The 48-year old, while bidding farewell to Pakistan team, shared words of praise for many cricketers including Imam-ul-Haq.
Flower said that the 23-year old cricketer has all the ingredients to record a strong career for Pakistan. Sharing his views, the Harare born further added that Imam is one of those Pakistani players who have improved a lot and this is one quality which augments chances of his success. Moreover, he advised Imam not to get too ahead of himself as he wants to see the rising batting sensation become a reliable batter for Pakistan.
