Australian cricket team has seen one of the most intimidating spells of bowling from Barbados-born, England’s fast bowler, Jofra Archer. Archer was too good for Australia to deal with. He made Australia look vulnerable throughout the 2nd Ashes Test at Lord’s.
Archer took 5 wickets in the match with the best figures of 3/32 in the 2nd innings. He was quite impressive in his 1st ever Test match for England. His brute pace caught Australia napping at the crease.
In the 2nd Innings, his initial burst gave England an outside chance of winning the match. But the rain intervals were too dominant to be overshadowed by high-class fast bowling. Archer’s bouncers also forced Steve Smith to leave the match and sit out due to concussions.
Archer is surely the next big thing for England. He has the ability to intimidate even the best in the business. England will surely plan on him on the long-term basis and use him to his full capacity.
