JKCA pulls out of Vizzy Trophy for no contact with players

The state of Jammu and Kashmir in India is currently in the midst of a rather volatile period of unrest which has forced the state cricket association (JKCA) to pull out of the upcoming Vizzy Trophy in Visakhapatnam.

This has been done in light of lack of response from governor Satya Pal Malik regarding the security arrangements for the team to travel safely. JKCA have also been unable to contact with their players amidst the curfew and blockage of landline facilities in most areas of the state.

Star player Parvez Rasool, who has represented India on the international arena, is also not in contact with the JKCA which is a worrying development. “It’s unlikely we will be going to play Vizzy Trophy. The situation is improving, but the biggest obstacle has been communication with our players,” the CEO of the association claimed.
