The England cricket team lost a golden opportunity to level the Ashes a couple of days ago as the Aussies survived the final day with just 4 wickets in hand at the end of day’s play, ending the match in a draw.
The Aussie bowling had a mixed game at Lord’s as they showed brilliance in patches while being mediocre at other times. Nathan Lyon looked extremely dangerous in the second innings as he found the edge quite consistently, but to his disadvantage, the ball never carried to the fielders and the Aussies also missed two opportunities to review on his bowling.
The off-spinner was, however, quite expensive after Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler survived his initial spells as they took him to the cleaners, hitting boundaries through the gaps easily. According to statistics, Lyon has now been hit for the most number of 6s in Test cricket i.e., 213 sixes.
The list features some big names like Shane Warne (170), Muttiah Muralitharan (158), Harbhajan Singh (111), Anil Kumble (109), and Daniel Vettori (102).
